Automated awareness programs
An awareness program assigns cybersecurity content to the people in your organization across the year. Smart Path is the format that decides what each of them gets, every day. You configure it once and it stops asking you for work.

An awareness program has to solve two things that are nothing alike. The first is that the whole organization completes the same content on the same date, with evidence of who did it. The second is that each person keeps moving forward the rest of the year, and that part cannot be planned in advance: it depends on what each of them already completed, on the time they have, and on when they joined.
Fixed program
You define the path once and it reaches everyone the same way. It covers the year’s regulation, the onboarding of new joiners and the campaign after an incident, and it can be explained to an auditor in one line.
Smart Path
You define criteria instead of a path, and each person gets their own. It never repeats what someone already completed, it stays within the monthly time you set, and it also reaches whoever joined last week.

The two coexist, and there is no limit on how many programs you run.
You do not pick content, you do not pick dates, you do not build a schedule. You define the criteria and the program builds each person’s path from what that person already completed.
The cybersecurity categories the content comes from.
Interactive Modules, videos, video games, newsletters, exams, surveys and phishing simulations.
The ones in the SMARTFENSE catalog, the ones you wrote, or both.
Low, medium or high. If content runs out at that level, it looks in the one above or below.
The minutes per person per month in this program. The load is approximate, because everyone takes a different amount of time.
Which days of the week a campaign can start.
At what time, in your organization’s time zone.
Users, groups, smart groups, hierarchy levels or functional areas.
The program checks the recipients every day, not only the day you create it. Anyone joining a targeted group starts receiving content without you assigning anything, and anyone deactivated stops receiving it.
The program decides person by person, not by group.

Per-person detail: their history in the program, with the reason for each assignment.
One example. With a budget of thirty minutes a month, someone in accounting received three pieces and spent twenty-eight minutes in total.
The rules are still yours. You will be able to see what each person received, when, and why the program chose to send that content.

Programs dashboard: which part of the organization is covered, the month’s assignments and how many people were paused.
The configuration exactly as you left it, and the campaign curve over time.
Export everything to Excel and CSV with a date filter, for the committee or for the auditor.
You can have both running at the same time, and as many programs as you need. The fixed one handles the mandatory dated content and Smart Path handles the rest of the year, each with its own configuration. The monthly load you set in Smart Path only covers what that program assigns, so it is worth leaving room for what the others already send.

organizations run their awareness program with SMARTFENSE
The modules, videos, newsletters, exams and simulations the program assigns come from the SMARTFENSE catalog, and each format has its own page under cybersecurity awareness tools. And if you are looking for the programs already designed by regulation or by topic, they are under automated awareness programs.
We will show you how it is configured, what the dashboard shows, and one person’s decision history.
