Cybersecurity Awareness Nudges

What are Nudges in Awareness?

Nudges are brief messages designed to influence specific security behaviors of users. The goal is to guide individuals toward the right decision at the most opportune moment.

To better understand Nudges, we can divide them into two parts:

Example of a nudge sent via email

Triggering Events

Triggering events are risky actions taken by users that are automatically detected by SMARTFENSE, prompting the sending of an awareness notification.

Awareness notifications

When a triggering event occurs, the user who performed the risky action will receive a notification through the configured medium:

This notification contains a brief message aimed at correcting the user’s risky behavior, either proactively or reactively.

Content of Nudges

SMARTFENSE provides a wide gallery of predefined Nudges. For each triggering event that the platform can detect, multiple awareness notification options are provided.

Each option varies in the mechanism used to influence user behavior: emotional, social, visual, etc. You can easily choose the most appropriate nudges for your organization.

And just like everything in SMARTFENSE, Nudges can also be 100% customized.
