SMARTFENSE was a Gold sponsor of the Industrial Cyber Summit Chile 2026, held on 3 September at the Hilaria Convention Center in Santiago. Nicolás Bruna, Chief Product Officer, delivered the plenary talk “9.9%: what a click reveals about human risk in industry”, and the team hosted booth 13 throughout the day.
The Industrial Cyber Summit brought together security leaders from Chilean industry in Santiago, with a focus on environments where operational technology sits next to information technology. It was the second industrial conference SMARTFENSE sponsored in 2026, after the Argentine edition in June.
The event took place with Chile’s Cybersecurity Framework Act already in force, Act 21,663, which created the National Cybersecurity Agency and set obligations for essential services and operators of vital importance. Staff training is one of those obligations, and in an industrial setting it reaches both office teams and plant teams.
Nicolás Bruna’s talk started from the click rate of a phishing simulation to show what that metric leaves out: which behaviors come before an incident in an industrial organization, and what evidence the platform records for every awareness activity. SMARTFENSE also took part in the CISO’s Table, the conference session for C-level attendees.
Booth 13, facing the entrance to the main hall, was hosted by Ezequiel Azzarini, Sales Development Director, Erick Pérez, Territory Sales Manager for Chile, and Mariana Mago, Events Manager.
