The integration between SMARTFENSE and SAP SuccessFactors allows for a one-way, transparent communication between both platforms.
SMARTFENSE sends audit logs to SAP SuccessFactors that are specifically created to be processed directly by SAP, without the need for any extra work.
The communication between both platforms is carried out through a secure FTP connection.
Each audit log sent from SMARTFENSE to SAP SuccessFactors is created based on the specific interaction of a single user with a single SMARTFENSE campaign.
Each record contains user identification information, details of the specific campaign in which they participated, and general information required for the integration with SAP SuccessFactors.
The user interactions that trigger the creation of an audit log are as follows: |
Test campaigns do not generate SAP SuccessFactors records.
The relationship between a SMARTFENSE user and a SAP SuccessFactors user is established through their employee ID, known in SAP SuccessFactors as STUD_ID.
This data can be imported into SMARTFENSE using any of the available user import and synchronization options on the platform, such as Microsoft Entra ID, Google, or API.
Additionally, the employee ID can also be manually added and edited for individual users.
The SMARTFENSE platform communicates with SAP SuccessFactors once a day to send the new audit logs.
If the administrator does not want the export to be automatic, they can manually export the audit logs from SMARTFENSE and upload them to SAP SuccessFactors. SMARTFENSE will ensure that the logs are provided in the correct format so they can be uploaded without any additional processing work.
