{"id":25046,"date":"2023-08-16T15:00:51","date_gmt":"2023-08-16T13:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smartfense.com\/sin-categorizar-en\/como-enviar-simulaciones-a-traves-de-dmi-para-google-y-microsoft\/"},"modified":"2024-08-28T14:39:46","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T12:39:46","slug":"how-to-send-simulations-through-dmi-for-google-and-microsoft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smartfense.com\/en\/partners-blog\/how-to-send-simulations-through-dmi-for-google-and-microsoft\/","title":{"rendered":"How to send simulations through DMI for Google and Microsoft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this post, we\u2019re going to explain step by step how to send Phishing and Ransomware simulations through DMI for Google and Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>Considering that many CISOs are unaware of the protection technologies implemented in their organization, which makes it difficult to accurately measure user behavior, with <a href=\"https:\/\/smartfense.com\/en\/sin-categorizar\/goodbye-whitelist-how-to-insert-a-phishing-simulation-in-the-users-inbox\/\"><strong>Direct Message Injection (DMI)<\/strong><\/a> (a delivery technique for phishing simulation traps to get emails into users\u2019 inboxes), the process becomes simpler and requires less knowledge of the organization\u2019s security infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>This method allows for <strong>direct injection<\/strong> of emails into our organization\u2019s users\u2019 inboxes, typically using an API developed by our email service provider.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, our phishing simulation tool doesn\u2019t need to go through all of the organization\u2019s security tools to reach the end user\u2019s inbox. Instead, the email can be inserted directly into the inbox, bypassing most of the organization\u2019s email filtering rules and tools through DMI.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Another important factor to consider is that protection tools often update, potentially disrupting a good Whitelist configuration overnight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Final Thoughts<\/h3>\n<p>With DMI, we reduce or even eliminate the technological tools involved in our Whitelist for proper email reception. While this method doesn\u2019t eliminate the need for a Whitelisting process, it certainly reduces it and allows us to measure user behaviors more quickly. With DMI configuration, these warnings can be eliminated.
